For me the best Poker Player are the one's who make the living with Poker.
To finish often in the money and win a few Tournament's.
The one who come and win one great Tournament is automaticcly not a good Player.
I like to see them a few years on the Top.
I totally agree with that. Being a good poker player is to be consistent. If you play a solid poker, maybe you will not win every tourney you play, but you will finish in the money so you can make the living with poker.
An example is Dan Harrington, who in the last two
wsop Main Event (with 1000 and 2600 people) finished 3th and 4th. Also I don´t think it´s luck to win 9 WSOP bracelets (Phil Hellmuth Jr., Johny Chan, Doyle Brunson) or winning more than 50 majors tournaments (T.J. Cloutier).
In relation to the question, for me the best poker player (or the one i like the most) is Howard Lederer.
