Hey guys. For those who like watching poker shows on t.v. What are your favorite shows and which channels do you watch them on? I remember watching the WSOP on espn and sometimes some on the tavel channel but thats pretty much it are there any others? I have dishnetwork:smile:

There is once a week or more some poker on channel 418. This very irregular however. That is on dish network.

I've only got a basic package (insert own joke here...) so I dont get any sports channels. Channel 4 (UK) show the party poker premier league and a couple of others from time to time, but only at silly times at night! Used to be poker on 2 or 3 channels at a time not long ago, after 10pm getting into the early hours of the morning, now this is the only channel running any poker games! What are the best Sky/cable channels to get a decent choice?

High Stakes Poker on GSN is the only show I regularly watch. They are Sunday nights.

I love the wsop America or Europe. I used to like the WPT but since Fox Sports has taken them over I can never find a consistant time to find them on. I think Fox Sports is going to be the undoing of the WPT. I also like High Stakes poker on GSN. For some reason Im not crazy about Poker after Dark, not sure why, I think id rather watch a final table of a huge MTT than I had 6 guys just randomly chosen to play for this purse.

theres also Poker after dark and National Heads up championship on NBC.

Im still waiting for a 24/7 channel devoted to poker. Theres already 2 channels for simulcast horse racing so why not poker?

YES High stakes poker is what i was looking for! glad to know they play it on a regular basis i acutally have that channel. WPT is really good too i dont watch it as much though.

High Stakes Poker is very interesting and entertaining to watch. I can only imagine playing for those stakes.

Although I do not play much heads up poker the Heads Up tourney with celebs and pro's playing is very fun to watch.

I really enjoy High Stakes Poker. I am glad they came back for another season. I have every episode and watch them many times. I think this year is the best so far.

Here, at least, the answer is that loads of people bet on horse races so they know that loads of people will be watching if they put them on TV.

That's not the case with poker.

Here in Australia I have PTV and get the WSOP on ESPN, WPT on Fox8 and poker comps from the UK such as UK Poker Open, European Open, Poker Premier League and other on Foxsports. While some of these programs seem pretty old and have been repeated I still watch them and still learning from them all the time.

Yeah have watched it , yeah very brutal with Durrr, he's an amazing player.

i actually love watching celebrity poker... no shit. i actually learned alot through that show. and it's not so boring. nothing better than fred savage getting his ass beaten in a game of holdem. but there's gonna be a poker tour soon called knockoutpoker. its with the magazine. there shoudl ebc elebrities too but i dont know what channel its gonna be on.

It's actually episode 9 that Durrrr joins the table. GSN mislabeled the episodes on Youtube. Episode 8 aired last Sunday but they put up Episode 9 after.

I dunno, the poker's been kinda dull with this group. Maybe Dwan will drag the game back out of the gutter next week...
