1) Name the 1979 inductee of the Poker Hall of Fame who is credited with introducing Las Vegas to Texas Hold em in 1963.

2) Who is the man also known as "Wild Bill" who held the hand which is now known as "dead man's hand." (Black A, 8) and who was the man who shot him in the back of the head?

3) Define the term "payoff."

4) Define the term "playback."

5) What is "rabbit hunting"?

1) Name the 1979 inductee of the Poker Hall of Fame who is credited with introducing Las Vegas to Texas Hold em in 1963. No clue

2) Who is the man also known as "Wild Bill" who held the hand which is now known as "dead man's hand." (Black A, 8) and who was the man who shot him in the back of the head? William Wild Bill Kichock....No Clue

3) Define the term "payoff." I think its when someone calls and they know they are beat but they still call cause of pot odds and they want to see the hand

4) Define the term "playback."

5) What is "rabbit hunting"? Isnt it when action is dead but they still flip the turn and river or river

Just a quick note: Wild Bill Hickock played five card draw, and the hand he was holding was two pair: aces and eights (hold 'em didn't exist at that point). How's that for trivia? :)

1) Name the 1979 inductee of the Poker Hall of Fame who is credited with introducing Las Vegas to Texas Hold em in 1963. Felton "Corky" McCorquodale

2) Who is the man also known as "Wild Bill" who held the hand which is now known as "dead man's hand." (Black A, 8) and who was the man who shot him in the back of the head? Officially his name was James Butler Hickok. He is known more famously as Wild Bill Hickok. Bill is not actually part of his name, and no one (anymore) knows where it truly came from. Jack McCall is the "man" that shot him in the back of the head.

3) Define the term "payoff." Simply, when you pay someone off, you call a bet they made and you lose. (whether it was a value bet they made, or you put them on a bluff, etc). There is no such thing as paying someone off when you call and win. That would be contradictory.

4) Define the term "playback." Playing back at someone is when there is a raise, reraise, etc. For one example. you make a bet, and someone raises you. If you reraise them, you are "playing back" at them.

5) What is "rabbit hunting"? After you fold your cards, you ask to see the next cards that would have come out (usually in an attempt to get self-validation of the fold you just made).

I assume the prize check is in the mail? ;)

I <3 rabbit hunting. Not for myself, just for watching other players' eyes boggle when the odds run rampant. I do it as much as possible with games with friends, it really throws things off, hehe.

1) Felton "Corky" McCorquodale

2) William Hickock (holding the "dead man's hand") and Jack McCall (The man who shot him).

3) To make money by having a weaker hand calling a strong hand.

4) To raise another player's opening bet.

5) When a player requests to see what cards would have come up if a hand had continued.

Hey, no fair looking at my answers first, then shortening them up. ;)
