Poker Trivia Part 22

1) What is the main reason why it's inconsiderate to "splash the pot"

2) What are the two differences between Texas Hold em and Pineapple (a form of Hold em)?

3) Define these terms:

"Hit"

"Isolate"

1 - it is inconsiderate to splash the piot because it makes it difficult to see how much was thrown into the pot.

2 - I had to cheat to get this one - never heard of pineapple. Actually sounds like fun! I'll wait to see if someone else gets it before I post the answer I found.

3a) hit - the flop contains cards that help your hand

3b) isloate - getting the action in a hand down to only two players

2. Pineapple is a "variant" of Holdem, not sure if its a game in itself but anyway. Instead of 2 hole card you get 3, one of which is disgarded on the flop. Well thats how ive played it in the past.

Isolate is actually making a raise to try and thin the field down to one player, so the actual definition is to make a bet or reraise to thin the field to heads up.

Eventually you guys got all the answers. Here they are:

1) It makes it hard for the dealer and the players to tell how much was bet.

2) Players recieve three cards each instead of two and are forced to discard one of them after the community flop is dealt.

3) Hit-If you hit it menas you have at least paired a card on the flop or hit a draw.

Isolate-To isolate a player is to raise with the intention of removing everyone else from the hand except that player.
