Poker Tools?

I occasionally run across advertisements for poker tools like poker calculators,holdem helper..ect ,ect,Does anyone use any of these tools and does any actually help you?I do not use any tools,I just play by instinct.

The only tool i use is Holdem manager. Once in a while i while use a free online pot odds calculator if facing a really tough situation that i cant calculate in my head.

There are some threads about Holdem Manager (HEM) and Poker Tracker 3. HEM is probably better, PT3 has a better Free Trial though. Most people here who are serious use one of the two, and I suggest you do the same.

I don't use commercial poker tools, but use http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_odds/texas_holdem for odds calculation (after the hand) and use www.officialpokerodds.com to get a sense of other players at the table after I'm past the bubble.

another good site to use is www.pokercrusher.com to get an idea of the player you're playing. You can get more detailed information when you request for player information to be sent to your e-mail

A good tool I have used to get info about other people at the table is www.officialpokerrankings.com. It tends to pee them off when I tell everyone at the table how much they have lost playing poker which in turn generally makes them play looser.

This is a really bad idea IMO.Why would you belittle the very opponant that makes you your money.If they stop playing out of frustration, it is bad for the game.
It is also bad etiquette/manners.Keep the game fun for all to enjoy.

it could depend on the stage your at?

If your new to the game, it wont hurt to get something like holdem genius or sng shark if you like sng's.

But if you think your a god and invincable, don't bother?

I had the code for poker office I tried installing it, but got warnings about a virus so didn't bother.

The only tool i use is PokerStrategy Elephant. Happens I use PokerStrategy Equilator.
