Poker Superstitions

Ok, I know we all have our superstitions, when it comes to things in everyday life, sporting events, or Poker. When I played sports, I would never shave on game day.

In Poker, I know we have or superstitions whether it is a live game or on-line. Since I have never been in a live game, I will have to stick to my online superstition. If someone goes all-in before me, and I want to make the call, I will let the timer run down, request time and then call. My reasoning behind this, lol, It gives the Random Number Generator a litttle more time and I may not get sucked out on. Stupind I know, but thats my superstition.

So I ask my fellow Cardschatters, What is your poker Superstition?

I never celebrate or shake my opponents hand when my opponent has a one or two outer left with the river coming during a showdown.

I have this card protector and if I don't have it I always play bad. Or at least its in my head when I realize I don't have it.

If you have a monster hand this could be considered slow rolling which is very rude

When I go pee in the morning, if I let go of one of them loud butt flapping farts. Then I know I'm gonna have a good day.

If it's a wet one to boot, I rush out to buy a lottery ticket....

I have them also. I always wear the same pair of short pants when I play at home. My game information must be written in the same manenr for my note file about that tournament.

I play in a live monthly game and before each game I stop at a local bar/restaurant owned by a friend and have a quick lunch, a little tequila and off I go to the game.

Before anyone says anything I am in 1st place for the year!

I think it's unlucky to get my money in with the worst hand and do my best to avoid doing so as often as possible.

I used to think the same thing. But evidently, only Full Tilt continually reshuffles the cards. That is, on any other gaming site the cards are predetermined when the cards are shuffled and dealt.

At one point I'd refuse to hit the "sit out next blind" option because I thought it was bad luck. I kept getting OK hands like J/J UTG and losing $ on the last hand.
I don't do that anymore though.

Um, read my post?

when i'm in a tournament, i always like to eat dinner while im playing... some comfort food really helps my game... don't know why but it does.

I keep my bad beats and suck outs.... to myself.......... other than that i dont really have any.........

I dont play or am wary around full moons (see my thread on that)

Also, I may ask my dog or cat, whoever is around, what to do in a certain situation. They are usually right.
