Poker Superstisions and Routines

This is kinda of a curiosity of mine I want to throw out to ya for discussion and debate and revelations and I hope ya'll respond to this....... so the questions are these .... Do you belive in luck either good,bad or fickle or is it just random happenstance?....and what (if any)superstistions,charms or routines do you have regarding prepareing for/or while playing poker either online or at a live game? .....................................Personally I think what people refer to as luck is simply random events playing out in context to situations ... but IF "lady luck" exist's shes very very fickle sitting on your shoulder one moment..shiting on it the next!! I have NO superstions or charms but I do have a routine I try to do before playing poker(online or home games)...I go down to the beach to clear my mind and relax , eat a light meal/snack of fresh fruit and blaze a bowl of cheaba :canabis: ... then dureing the games I like to have a large mug of Java with some peanut butter M M's!!

Certainly clearing your mind is more in the realm of practical advice than superstition. For similar reasons I have to listen to music while I play -- otherwise my mind wanders.

Though I'm rather certain lady luck prefers reese's pieces.

Whenever I play a sng on party, I always have to be the first one at the table and always in my seat lol.

It started when I won 3 SNGs on the trot, I thought this must be my lucky seat and I've sat there ever since.

yes ...my routine does not have anything to do with a superstition( I have none) its just a good idea to prepare to play with a clear head..wish I could do it more often to shake off the hectic strife of life...as for my in game quirks they are just some of my Fav's (you can't beat them peanut butter MM's with Java).....the questions are 1) do you believe in Luck ?......and 2) what charms,superstitions do you have ... and what routines (superstitions or not) do you have in prepareing to play or while in a game?
