Poker sponsors

Anyone have experience about poker tournaments and sponsors? Im interested about live tournaments and how to get sponsors and are there some rules for sponsoring.

You need to be a proven and successful winner before anyone would approach you about sponsoring you. And even then you also need to be a professional poker player.

Unless you know someone personally who is interested it is just going to happen.

I know many successful professional players who don't have sponsors. They are looking for people who will get their brand out there in a big way.

Once in a blue moon you might run across an unknown player who is sponsored by a company - in every case they have some kind of connection to them.

Yeah Dakota is right, While I was at the wsop circuit here in N.C , We had multiple conversations at the tables about this.. And we came to the conclusion, that most of the time if someone is being sponsored, they have already won and are famous enough for people to know that they are good.. and at the same time, sometimes casino's are looking for house pro's who will play for the house, and return a percentage if they win... They are rare, but they are out there.. and they are really good.. You just have to keep your fingers crossed and eyes peeled... maybe wear some logo's of stuff without being sponosored yet, then they may approach you at the table....

Someone in that tournament or going to join?
Would be awesome to be in that tournament and win it, there are already 1,173 persons registered and prize pool looks pretty good, so far $3,387,930.

i hate pros who have sponsors. play every tournament for free, no worries about losing lots of money. what a life. and were all impressed when they do good.
