I am not sure where this topic belongs so I put it here.

I did a search and didn't come up with much. So if this a taboo topic I am sorry .

I have read so much about poker tracker and the like I was debating getting something . I was settling on poker tracker 3 and then found out a friend I play with almost every day uses something called tournament indicator .... now my obsessive compulsive mind is running laps again.

So I am asking here . Do you use one and which is the one . Why do you like it , what don't you like and which one's have you tried and found lacking .

I would appreciate any feedback .

I really hate to bump my own thread , but i want some input on this. Good , bad or indifferent !

I have seen screen shots with what I assume are HUD's in use .. so I know some use helper soft ware.

Lots of poker tracker graphs on display ... and i am jealous of those winnings BTW

Do you play mostly tournaments or cash games?

Hold'em manager is very popular but doesn't support tournaments/sit&go's right (I believe) but is cheaper than PT3

PT3 is more expensive does support tournaments but is more glitchy than HEM.

I recommend you download each for the trials and see which you like best. Also check the sites you play at if you use a program other than these two too make sure it is allowed.

They all have a steep learning curve so if you enjoy tweaking with them constantly to get them to work on various sites, they will probably be worth it. If you'd rather play poker rather than messing with software, it may not be worth the trouble. My PT trial timed-out before I could sit down and really figure it out and my paid copy of HEM hasn't been worth it so far. It will take hours and hours of work to really make it worthwhile. Guess I'm too lazy.

No experience with Tourney Indicator. I use PT3 and also own HEM. Both offer free trials so try both. If you play tourneys PT3 is probably better. If you're a ring player HEM is probably better. One thing is certain, any HUD > no HUD.
