This is the only way Vanquish ever plays, says the game is way to easy if you can see your cards.

This would probably be a really good way to hone your reading skills if you had the disposable bankroll. The guy mentioned in the above post notwithstanding, I don't see how blind all the time could be profitable.

Annette Obrestad Claims to have won a 180 seat SnG without ever having looked at her hand. She used a stick-um I believe to cover her cards. At Full Tilt you can place the detatched note directly over your own cards if you care to try it yourself.

I have to admit playing a game where you dont see your own card, but you see everyone elses. Indian Head Poker....you put one card on your forehead for all the others to see, then bet

They've also done it at the wsop. Called it Blind Man's bluff, but both cards go to the forehead (iirc).

Pretty sure the video of that is online somewhere. I believe she looked at one hand when someone went all in for a sizeable amount. It was amazing, she played solely on position and how others bet.

It's usually just played with a single card...lick your finger, touch your forehead and slap the card up there. I've heard it called Indian since forever. Apparently, the politically correct name is now Blind Man's Poker but then you gotta wonder doesn't that piss off blind people somehow??! :p

Used to play something similar years ago in England, the game is called 3 card brag. You can either play your cards blind or seen, however, once you have seen your cards, you have to bet double whatever the blind player bets. In addition, a blind player cannot be raised, so two seen players can be betting $10 against each other and the blind player only has to call his 50c original bet.

I had a friend once won a $10 buy in tournament with 20 people, going all in every hand. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen.

Agreed, the only time I would try this is if I have had too much to drink and the prizes were more drinks, otherwise I cant see myself doing this for real money!

I definately wanna try a 180 face the ace freeroll doing this!! Its free and I'll just play on position and how the others are playing! This should actually help out alot or at the very least be pretty fun lol. I watched a video of Collin Moshman where he did this. I'm pretty sure it was at a 2000nl table. He played based on position and reads and it was pretty cool to watch!

I've watched a few players play hands blind live before. Not a whole tourney but I believe it could be done. Certainly not easily and you would have to be a really good read.

One time I played live and a player known to do this bet heavy when everyone checked around to him, I watched him carefully and knew he had not looked at his cards. I let him bet the K high flop and when I was the only caller he bet the pot on the turn, I reraised him all in and he said "Guess I better look at my cards now", he looked, folded his hand face up and he had AQ, I then said "Guess I better look now too" and showed my hand of 22. I had looked, but just wanted to mess with him since I knew he didn't look and the other players had folded.

I probably see one person a night when I play live play a hand blind, I think it's a big challenge to some to see if they are good enough to do it.

Guys I just found a new weapon against people that play blind poker : Drunken master style :)
I tried it and guess what .... it works ! I don't know if you ever watched The drunken master style of Kung fu but this is almost the same but instead of Kung FU you play NL holdem
But watch out you better be good at poker and be a good drinker as well :)

It's a good drinking game. Not sure how it could be profitable.

Yeah, "Indian" was a drinking game that we would play sometimes in high school, usually for a hand or two between other drinking games just to make everyone laugh. And it was easy to explain the rules to for people that had never played the more complicated drinking games (or were already drunk!).

I can't believe that Politically Correctness has entered the world of drinking games? Is there anything less PC than playing games whose sole purpose is to make everyone wasted more quickly?? Screw that-as far as I'm concerned that game will always be known as Indian!

I think the next cash game I'm in, when it's my turn to deal I'll just deal out one card and call "Indian" and see what everyone does. I'm guessing there will be lots of ROTFLMAO!:D

yeah works well if you hae a loaded pistol on the table and accuse someone of lying!!! what a poker face!!! you should always to some degree do this its not whats in your hand or on the table you have to know what position to be in to bluff and when to do so.. if you add this trick to your bag when in the deal position you should pick up a few more chips a game!!!! good luck
