Poker Podcasts

I’ve been away from talking poker for a while and so I was looking for a podcast to help me freshen up my skills and learn a little bit along the way. I came across ESPN Radio: The Poker Edge with Phil Gordon and ESPNs Andrew Feldmen.

The most current episode talks team poker. starting off with the Dream Team Poker Event. Two of the Dream Team organizers Daniel Delshot and Cat Quwal (sp) came up with a patented scoring system which turns runs as an individual tournament with teams there by turning two tournaments into one. There is a team prize 60%and individual prize 40%. When you get eliminated you are given a score and the two lowest scores are added in and the lowest ending score wins.

They go on to take about various aspects of teams including collusion, how to handle backing a player and who to handle it if you are playing at the same table.

It is interesting. I am wondering if anyone has heard this and wants to comment, or if you know of any other free poker Podcasts?

Look for poker road radio. It's on iTunes and they have their own website. They've got a lot of different shows; good stuff. It's almost the same team that did The Circuit a while back: Gavin Smith and Joe Sebok + Ali Nejad filling in Scott Huff's position.

THey also have a podcast called All Strategy with Daniel Negreanu and Justin Bonomo.

There is also the pokercast freeroll, which is more like a talk show, but has pro guests talk about their play, and discuss hands. They also host a freeroll on pokerstars, and reveal the password if you listen to the podcast.

I am a Poker Podcast WHORE. Thats all I listen to at work...AAAAALLLLLL DDAAAAYYYY, and there are a few that I listen to over and over. Here is a list of ones I listen too.

I got everyone of these off of the I tunes store for free, and the cool thing about some of them is when you subscribe you can get past shows (rightclick and look for show descriptions if they are not there already). And as long as I open I tunes daily they usually update automatically when new ones are available. I got to get a larger Ipod.lol
