I have this 'theory' that because of the different ways people value money, this plays into what sort of poker player one may be.
For example,if a person is a 'conservative' spender in real life, they may tend to play poker a little more conservatively. And the opposite of this would be the wild spender, who goes all in on a 9-5.
So here I am,somewhere in the middle of this, getting beat by the 'wild spender' who goes all in with 9-5 and gets lucky on the flop with 678.And that's what is frustrating!
How can one defeat these 'wild spenders',when they don't seem to care about their money?
Don't mean to complain,am just looking for some thoughts on this.I AM a fairly decent player-maybe not as good as some here, but decent.

Bank Roll Management. Just make sure you have the funds available to stay at the table until your new best friend loses all his new found wealth.

I agree, but also learn to be patient with the riskier players and then hurt them when you get the killer hands.

If he's going all-in with 95 routinely my patience requires something like KT or better. You need to get his $$ quick because he's not going to keep it long.

I know how it feels. If you have good bankroll management tho, one or two "wild spender" donks getting lucky should'nt matter that much. In the long run you should come out on top, if your the "decent player" you say you are that is...;)

This is only true for the fishes. Good players learn the ability to completely differentiate poker money from real money.
