hey guys, 1st time posting here so i wanna say hello to all.

anyway, ive been playing hold'em for bout 5-6 years now. mainly online, low stakes tourneys at friends house, and occasionally foxwoods in CT.

anyway, going to a friends's friend for a 1/2 no limit hold em cash game. he says all the guys who he works with are playing. they all work together and make really good $$$ so they dont care about money. he says alot of money will get thrown so with that im expecting alot of pre flop raises and big bets off the flop etc. this is something im not use to in terms of dealing with guys who play ALL aggressive and play constant hands. probably try to catch straights and flushes, etc.

anyway my question is how should i play these guys. should i simply wait for the nuts and try to bust a guy or try to bang with them. i will come out and say im not the aggressive type or over the top player, dont bluff much at all. i dont wanna get in a face off with 2 guys who will throw up 15-20 percent of their stack after the flop. constant pre flops raises, etc. im not saying i am timid and will fold if i hit something on the flop and be scared due to a big bet. i dont play trash. i wait for good hands only.

i know how to play against a bully but when supposedly the other 8 are aggressive, big betters, and dont care about money, its tough for me when im kinda the opposite.

let me know

if it were me, i would play pretty tight. try to see a a couple of flops early just so show that you are not playing like a nit. but most of all, watch them and thier cards. make mental notes of the showdowns.

Wait for strong hands and be very aggressive with them.
when your an aggressive player who always leads out betting you have 2 ways to win: 1-Winning with the best hand. 2- forcing ppl to lay down hands.
But if you just call bets without re-raisng you only have one way to win and that is with a better hand.
It has been said time and time again by most pros, "Aggressive poker is winning poker".

now when the "the corporation" played andy beal in there big heads up matches . Andy beal was hyper hyper aggressive raising a lot of hands { it was limit but it applies here}
anyway some of the players in the corporation played counter aggressive tactics and sometimes they won and sometimes the lost,with this strategy there is a lot of variance, a lot of big pots and uncomfortable positions

now the players who played tight against MR.beal were more profitable against him and had less swings
the point is against aggressive players it is best u play tight

this was just a long way of saying :::: play tighter than usual

just a thought

only the best...like most home games, a couple of people will just like the action. raise big when youve got the nuts! You should get a caller or 2. And friday at the start of the month. everyone should have plenty of money!

I'm jealous lol.

Basically, tighten up. Depending on how aggressive they are preflop should change your strategy too. If there are a lot of multi-way pots with no preflop raises, you should try to see a lot of flops with low pocket pairs and suited connectors, hoping to catch a good hand. If standard preflop raises aren't pushing people off hands preflop, when you get a premium hand like KK or AA bet enough to get most people to fold. The last thing you need is that kind of money flying around and for you to have no idea if your overpair is good or not. If you have to bet 15x the BB to get some people to fold, bet that much. You want one or possibly two callers, but any more is just asking for disaster, especially when they'll throw around money whether they hit or not.

And of course the obvious. Value bet the shit out of your made hands, and all but eliminate bluffing from your game. When people will call too many pots, there's no reason to set any image for yourself. Just wait for the hands and let them pay you off.
