Hi all,
With more and more poker rooms opening up almost on a daily basis I really need to know where we stand on the networks, eg: I got an email from a poker room called "aloha poker" so I had a look and it's the same as americacardroom software, part of the same network. Also one of the biggest networks at the moment is primapoker with about 11 poker rooms I think, their list seems to get bigger every time I visit them.
What I want to know is can we officially create an account with each poker room within the network? I don't think so. I've created a second account within a network but when I tried to use my username it said it was already taken, so I used another username and the account was created, ok seems fine, but then I realise they are all the same tournaments so in reality you could enter the same tournament more than once, but isn't that cheating?
Also with so many how do you know if you have created several accounts with the same network and could this be used not to pay you if you was to cashout a large amount of money?
Until I know for sure how this works I only have one account with each network but I feel it could be a problem in the future.
I had the same problem with casinos, I accidentally created more than one account at a casino as it had a completely different look and name but it was part of the same group, they waited until I tried to make a cashout before they locked my account as a cheater.
Anyone have any views on this or know the "rules and regs" regarding the networks?
Thanks in advance for any replies :)

I've noticed that the prima network has a lot of skins. However, they do seem to differ on some tournaments. I don't think there would be any issue having multiple accounts, but anything is possible.

If you registere a username on one of the prima poker sites it reserves you that username for all of them.

When you download another one and go to make your account if you use the same code you were emailed from the first one then you can use the same user name on that one.

If you play using two accounts at the same time the collusion software will pick it up and you will more than likely get banned from the network and they may well pass your details out to other poker sites as well.

For a full list of all the prima poker sites go to www.primapoker.com there are more than 11 iirc ;]

I got a cd to download in the mail a couple of weeks ago. I downloaded it. It was to the Riverbelle casino. well,I go on betonusa.com often. well,it comes to find out that they are the same network (primapoker).I go back on the betonusa.com and i find out my account on there has benn cancelled. But not the one for riverbelle. It's just fusterating to say the least. So,I have to contact support and see why they cancelled my account there. It's just crazy. Then also like party poker, empire, etc. they are all the same. I think there's really to many sites out there. I'm willing to try any site out,but not if it's the same skin and feel like the one I already downloaded, know what I'm saying. I want variety!Like they say "variety is a the spice of life!":)

Thanks :)

Hi all,
Thankyou for the replies, and yes I know about the activation code now for the prima network but this is the only network which does this, americascardroom and even ultimatebet have several other poker rooms with the same network but they don't have this facility so you can unwittingly create duplicate accounts, quite annoying if your cashing out money on a regular basis, it's hard to find a poker room now which isn't associated with a few others, just have to keep your eye out when downloading new poker rooms I suppose.
I've noticed recently that even the playtech software is being used more now, the same software used by Noble, i've downloaded 3 poker rooms recently only to find out i'm already using an associated poker room.
Casinos certainly took the wrong stance on this, you got CD's in the mail from like 5 casinos all by the same company and when you created an account without realising you was already a member they waited until you actually tried to make a cashout before locking your account, a couple of times I even telephoned the casinos only to have the reply: " you cheated, you created multiple accounts, no excuse, your locked"
Best thing is always to check out as much as you can and speak with live help if it's available.
Well thanks guys, good luck :)
