Hello Everyone..

In the Past few Years, Mexico has been getting more into poker then ever before... it even hosted the LAPT, in Puerto Vallarta... but it came to an end mid way through... Federal Agents closed down the game, since Mexican Law Prohibits this time of gaming in the country.

Poker is being played in underground casinos all through out the country, in private homes, and in the back of most bars... it has been growing in popularity do to the major online poker rooms advertising on the TV stations.

I believe that one of this days, the country will legalize this form of play in order to collect taxes from it, but that seems like a very distant future...

We have some good Players in Mexico, in Fact two of them are already signed with Online Poker Giant PokerStars...

What other great poker players might come out of Mexico, the world might never know, if they never get to play in their own country, instead have to go to Vegas to play.

I've been to mexico a lot, and have played some underground games... it feels like the wild west, at one game... I played with some rough looking cats, but nothing bad happen... I got my money and left without any fights or problems...
