More players as people lose their jobs and need income?

Or less players as people have less disposable income?

How will your poker change?

Logic suggests fewer players because there is less disposable income. But then you have to counter that with more folks because there is more disposable time (more un-imployed).

The recent upsurge of players at Stars along with no apparent downswing in players elsewhere, suggest it is still growing.

It will explode should the US gov stop/drop that silly UEIGA bs. Hell, most of the folks affected by it can't even remember how to spell it! Me included! Is it UIGEA, UGIEA, UIEGA ?????? And I'm too lazy to continually search out the right spelling. Hallmark of a bad bill is that no one can remember it's name.

I'd bet even Europeans have a reasonable understanding of what Prop 13 was about here in Ca.

I'd say more. The majority of people don't know what to do with their money (or credit). One reason we're in this mess at the moment. Poker being so popular these days, casino ads pumping up how much money you could win, etc. Unless your wife (or husband) gives you hell, you might as well give poker a shot in the dark.

That's what I would do anyway. Here in canada, there's no tax on winnings. Cheers, eh.

I was in Atlantic City the other day playing some 1/2NL
and over half the table is collecting unemployment. Casino was kinda slow
but the poker room was busy.

There's gonna be so many teens who watch poker on tv starting to play once they get old enough, it'll keep increasing for a few years
