I was wondering if poker is bad for your health? I'm not just talking about sitting for hours upon hours but when you bluff or put a lot of money into the pot your heart rate goes through the roof as if you were on crack... So is this constant heart pounding from bluffing or addrenaline rushes bad for your health? is there any way (No drugs) to not feel that rush when your bluffing? Does it go away with experience or is it just part of the game?

just part of the game - sure you could have a heart attack but many things could cause that apart from poker - and if you did go you would certainly be remembered.

Just had my Blood Pressure measured and it was good - my wife said nothing this morning - could have helped.

The overproduction of adrenaline can cause nervousness, panic attacks, anxiety, phobias, extreme mood swings and bouts of aggression. But if you often practice some sport or just a jog you will relief the stress and balance your suggar levels, blood pressure and so on. The Balance is the key of life.

If when playing your heart speeds up and gets nervous many say that this arrhythmia can kill
in this case it will only happen to be nervous and will not even get to die
but if you have in your life cases that emotions must be moderate in this case the plot thickens.
Overall all these factors
hours of play
stay at the computer
position that sits
general wear to the health, many advise to take a break every 3 hours of play to stay two hours without doing anything, I do not follow these tips ever.

Yeas, I think that poker realy is dengerous for your health and I know it at first hand. The fact of the matter is that i worked as dealer and saw many people who leaved themselves without sleep. Many players smoke at the table. In net it`s not so fatal, but no difference you endow with your day regimen.
