Poker, Fun or Occupation?

I enjoy very much playing poker games . Either playing online or with friends , I have a lot of fun .As for money prizes , it's always a target to achieve .If it becomes in the future ,when my game gets improved , a source for extra income, why not?

As much as I wish I could play poker for a living, I'm just not good enough and never will be!! :-(

I do enjoy playing though and I do ok. Probably lose more than I win but the occasional big score's keep me interested!!

As for myself and my style, I'll quote on one of my favourite movie character:
"-Guys around here'll tell ya... you play for a living.
It's like any other job. You don't gamble. You grind it out.
Your goal is to win one big bet an hour, that's it.
Get your money in when you have the best of it, and protect it when you don't.
Don't give anything away.
That's how I've paid my way through half of law school.
A true grinder.
See, I learned how to win a little at a time. But finally, I've learned this...

Of course I play just for the hell of it, but with such passion it is possible to become also pro

i will be a professional player in the poker :3

play for fun,but if I become a Pro,so I played not bad

must be both if u dont enjoy while u are playing cant be a good work..
if you enjoy while u play is eASyier turn it into a job... in my country CoulD BE A VERY GOOD JOB

Definitely just for fun - can't afford to give up secure income for potential income.

For me poker is opportunity to spend a good time.

To me...poker is for fun and for the challenge.If it gets to where it feels like work,then I would wanna retire.

For me, poker always will be fun, not play to be famous or earn fortunes, but who would not want to have to work poker

for me , play low buy in, is for fun , when i play bigger and play more than 8hours a day is a job.

It depends on the player who plays the game. A lot of people play it with virtual money, that is equal to play with stones on the ground. These kind of people play the game only for fun.
The real poker is when you gave from your money and multiply or lost them, that doesnt metter sometimes.

to become a professional should be given a lot of time to poker , I play for fun at 80 % and 20 % for prizes

I think everyone who don't really love their jobs (and specially those who really HATE their jobs) deep inside really wants to say "*uck this *hit" and start playing poker for money

but I REALLY think it's really hard to achieve it, even if you're a gifted genius, sometimes it just strikes you so hard you want to quit, specially when you do everything right and lose because of someone else stupidity

it may be easier to win 50 dollars on poker in a couple of hours, but it's also easy to lose every single hand and start to think "why the real I'm really doing this wicked game?"

thinking about the psychological issues that it generates, it's really huge. many players start their careers like supernovas and quit after a couple of years due to variance and other issues alike

Poker is a job if you wanna win money , but lots of people playing just for fun thats why pro players call them "fish"
