So i've never used software before, but as I get to higher stakes and play more I'm beginning to think that I could use something like Poker-Edge. I play 80% of the time on Stars and the other 20% on FTP. So I'm really just asking if it's worth the $20.00 a month to have it/use it. Thanks in advance for the advice/help guys.

What stakes are you playing?

I think that at most stakes 50nl and lower, you're often going to find fishy tables everywhere anyways, and spending money on this would be a waste.

Even with FTP, there's the table opener script which I used to use as a table selection tool, and obviously it's free. It'll show you a window of which tables have what vpip/pfr/pot size, and you can choose from that.

You have to be careful not to scare a way the fishes..., or maybe scareing them away is a good thing. ???

But I don't know about the software...

Oh, well if pokerstars banned Poker-Edge then I have no point in spending the money on it, but as for the stakes i'm playing, i'm usually doing 3/6 NLHE or PLO, and lots of MTT's.

Lol thanks, but was just seeing if it could help me pick out better spots or understand my opponets bets/shoves better. Sadly i've now read that PS has cracked down on most all of them pretty good so I'll just keep on plugging away.

Playing 3/6 you've got to be seeing regulars alot. I really thnk that you need to invest in either Pokertracker or Poker Office.
