what does everyone think of poker-edge.com?

seems like it can give you a pretty big edge, knowing how tight or loose your opponent is, how he likes to play postflop, etc.

It's alright, the ones you buy are much much better though

what other program can u buy that shows the players style? sharkscope and pokertracker don't directly tell u what a player's style is, right? especially if you've never played against that opponent before. that's what i like about poker-edge, i sit down with players i have never played a hand against but i'm able to know their style.

Unfortunately, not many sites allow it to be used and getting caught will result in ban. You should never attach it to your table if you don't want to take the risk of getting caught.

It's also extremely inaccurate. Just drop the ~$50 on pokertracker.

ya i know its illegal for most sites. i just go to the website itself and search for the players, so there is no way of fulltilt knowing . but as for it being innaccurate i think i have to disagree with you. i know its not 100% accurate. and i know playing against a bomb they might be more of a lose player than say me, who is also a bomb. but i think it gives you a general idea. preflop especially i find quite accurate. i havn't had a situation yet where i've been playing against a maniac that they said was a mouse or vice versa.

it sometimes is good, other times it can lead to bad decisions. overall I think it is valuable.
