As I mentioned, that is pretty much the standard Amazon experience. I have discount memberships at both B&N and Borders (and I pay $25/yr for B&N), and get all their promo coupons too, and even with discount+coupon combined still it's very rare that they beat Amazon's everyday price. Having Prime just makes it all the better since I can get anything in 2 days, or overnight for $4. I once shipped a crib to my daughter overnight when our last grand-daughter was born and her crib plans (someone else had promised one) fell through. It was over 100lbs and it cost me $4 to overnight it, lol. Also, no sales tax at Amazon either, vs the other two.
I still keep the B&N and Borders memberships for when I'm browsing their store while waiting for the wife to shop or whatever, and just have to leave with a book. And for the coffee shop discounts.
And yeah, the Amazon CC is their credit card.
