Poker Books

What would you guys say is the best book to buy for some reading on poker? Theres a lot out there and im not sure which one to get. Of course theres Doyles Super System but could you guys give me some advice of what you liked and whats good

Depends what variation of poker you want.

I really think Super System is the best. It is the most complete book. There are other good ones. The only book that I bought that didn't like was Phil Hellmuth's Play Like The Pros. The book is nothing but him saying how great he his.

Nothing against books. I'm sure there are a few tidbits that may help you some. But experience is the only thing that will make you a better player.

i dont know what variation youre into.
but, if youre at all into tournament no-limit holdem (and thats all i play), theres IMHO just one book you need: dan harrington's 2-volume harrington on holdem (vol1 out since november, vol2 out in about two weeks).

I have acutally read "Harrington on Hold em," and I thought it was an excellent book. I learned a lot from it and it inspired me to read more books about poker. Like right now i am reading Phil Helmuth's "Texas Hold em."

I've heard good things about Haringtons book also Caro's book on poker tell is interesting

super system was and still is the bible on poker....i recently finished super sysem 2 and it was as amazing as the first....i also like harrington on holdem....very informative and lots of strategy
