I have been trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible this year and I need some new poker books to read any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Ive already read Doyle's Super System, Caro's Book of Poker tells, and The Poker Tournament Formula 2. All of these books have really improved my game. So post up your favorite poker books so I can get to reading!

Which books you are likely to find most helpful / productive depends on some personal factors. For example, what's your current level of knowledge? What stakes are you playing? What are the game or games you most want to improve? MTT, STT or cash?

Hi, if you follow Doyle Bronsons way of playing poker you will go broke as his strategy of playing is not beginners, only for the advanced experienced player who really knows what their doing. A good starting point for somebody like you is reading Harrington on Holdem 1 and 2 . He does a great job of explaining important concepts with many example hands to help reinforce these.

Is HoH 1 and 2 really going to help a cash game player?
Since he didn't say what he played only the books he had already read. One Doyle's is a cash book, and Tournament Poker 2 is(that i've never heard of) which is clearly for donkament player. Also Doyle's book is beyond outdated.Book of tells is trash imo(better book for tells is Joe Navarro's).
So more info like Arjonius said would be nice

He said nothing about cash game play so why mention it?. And besides, Harrington on holdem 1 and 2 has many concepts outlined in it that are applicable to all forms of poker, including cash games.

As a CASH GAME PLAYER
I like
Elements of Poker -Tommy A
Treat your Poker Like a Business- Leather A
for starting out online players
HoH 6max Cash Games-Dan H
Poker Math That Matters -Owen Gaines

After the basics are reached unlike other players that study about win rates,3bets,vpip etc.You need to put your villain on a range.

Hole Card Confessions-Owen Gaines

I like the books by Jeff Hwang, Advanced Pot Limit Omaha in particular, but I'm one of those weirdos who like PLO more than NLHE so take what I say with a grain of salt :)

Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book" is a good one to start since it's easy reading and well written. Confidence in your game will result. GL, Wally

PS: Most of these poker books mentioned can be checked out of a good library and save you lots.
