Hey guys, I'm going on a long plane trip for the next few days and was looking to purchase a book about poker which can help me when I return to win some money. I usually play micro stakes and I'm looking for a book that touches on the different odds, hand position and when to play what hands and what not based on position, and maybe in the same book some details on how to beat the micro stakes and move up through the stakes slowly? Anyone know any books that are popular and can be found at barnes & noble that I can use in this regard?

I would start off with Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book" (decent book, well-written). You might want to try seeing if you can pick it up from a library first?

I will be out of the state for almost a month due to traveling, so I won't really be able to return the library book and will probably end up paying more money on over due book fees so I'm figuring I might as well just buy one, lol.

Any other suggestions? So i have a few different ones to look through before I make a solid purchase.

"Little Green Book" is a 'solid purchase'. It's also very reasonably priced. I actually purchased 4 copies of it & gave it to friends.
Books I would consider after reading this one (for NLHE Tournament Play):
"Harrington On Holdem" - Vol.1 & Vol.2
These two books will help to give you a solid foundation.
Serioiusly though, you can't go wrong with the Little Green Book.

Okay sounds good, ill check that book out when i get a chance to get to barnes & noble, is it a long read or moderate? And I'm not sure but I'm a bit interested in books about sit & gos and ring games as well, as I have started to play more of those then the tournament games.

There is a book Dusty recommends for small stakes called "Small stakes No limit hold'em" by Ed Miller.
