Yes It's a pair but its only a coin flip heads up against even 34o, when and how do you play them?

Second question, Same answer will probably apply to 33 and 44 but when do you consider a pair to be big enough to be worth playing strong?

A popular question, which has several answers and applies to pretty much any small PP.

Low blinds - early/mid/late position - Flat call the BB, fold if no improvement, fold to a raise with more than 1 caller

Average blinds - fold early position, usually raise mid/late position. Do you really want the BB to see a free flop with you holding bottom pair and facing 2 overcards like 86os?

Large blinds - Again, depends a lot on stack, players at table. Lowish stack I would usual make an all in move with low pockets, medium stack I would prob fold or if I am big stack I would prob push here

Again, there is no set way to play a small pocket pair. Experience and knowledge of the table are a big help but sometimes these can be monster and other times they can be ugly

with low pairs like that I usually fold if raised. Sometimes I take a risk and stay in.

with small pairs (i consider 66-->22 small pairs, 77-->TT middle, and higher are big )
i play em like small suited connectors: play em to see a flop
so real cheap and i will only limp if i know the players behind me wont raise the pot
i never raise em unless heads up or really shorthanded
so basically i play em to hit a set or to get an all-in against a small stack while shorthanded

if your shorthanded make a small raise if your are end up heads up use your gut fold if you get any heat.

I play them whenever my chip stack gets large enough to make me nervous.

Classic. I never play anything less than 77 unless a)I am short stacked and must go all in or b) the table is shorthanded or c) I'm getting a discount to go in (sb, bb). Remember if you're gonna play 22, you have about a 12% chance of hitting the set on the flop. That is to say, you're going to need to make 8 times the amount you put in to make it worth it, not including the times where someone flops something better and you lose a shitload of chips. It's always important to consider that unless you're playing calling stations, it's difficult to make a lot of money unless your opponent also has a hand.

I will also sometimes play them from the button in an unraised pot, unless I'm playing calling stations. Then I'll only play if there are a lot of limpers (4+)

Pockets are pockets! I would say dont push on them at all see a flop if u get trips take a look at the board for flush and streight possabilities. It is worth playing early in the game or late in the game with a big stack. I would say fold if there are any raises. and if u want to steel blind it is a great hand. In position. Gotta love those 2's!!!!

the way i play 2s

limp from most positions (unless i'm going to be raised) and hope for the trips...

Occasionally, when i get a read on a player, and KNOW he has two high cards like KJ or AJ etc i might call the guys pre-flop bet, and then if rags come, put them to the test...

In no limit I play low pairs like this. If I am short stacked I will go all in with it hoping for a coin flip. If I have a decent size stack I will try to limp and and catch a set. If I don't catch a set on the flop, I fold. If i'm raised, i just fold. They are only valuable to me if I catch the set.

Exactly, it all depends.

big/small: check/call small raise.

maybe all in if shortstack.

I play them the same I do 3's or 4's. If there's nothing in the Flop I fold at the betting.
