We're not holding our breath - and part of the problem here is that we're trying to get a change made to legislation that's technically already been voted on and passed.

Still very important to speak up though, I'm working on my own submission at the moment.

Good luck mates! I'm an Australian living in the US. If I ever come back to live I need a place to play online. How is it a free country if you can't play a little poker?

These prohibitions are bad for poker

To my mind it`s wrong way to close poker rooms... Personally I don`t imagine my life without poker! So it`s crying injustice! Gl to you and be winner in this war!

That's too bad your government feels the need to take this action, it's probably more to do with tax revenue than anything else. Hopefully our Canadian politicians don't start getting some ideas. Good luck in your fight.

If it was about tax revenue it'd be the other way around and it'd already be legal because they'd be making MORE tax revenue.

Honestly, this is mostly happening because online poker is so small here they just didn't think about carving out an exception for it until now.

Sent my submission in to the enquiry last week, all other Australian players should follow the guidelines and do the same.

My fellow ACR Stormer has, All in Pav, has a great video about this that should be of some help to Aussies.

Online poker is pretty much dead in Australia since the recent government crackdown. ignition is the only site left that gets any real traffic.

The poker site traffic report for ignition https://pokersitetraffic.com/ignition says they are still getting 45,000 - 50,000 visits from Australian's a month.

Hopefully we'll get some more options soon!

One more nonsense of governments to have total control of the economy, and make theirs creating new mafias. Come on guys do not stop fighting, you all need a few hours of poker in our lives. force and faith.

I just don't see the cons of online poker. People gamble on all sorts of things and deregulating anything causes more people to want to do it than not and without education of it and usually in a volatile nonregulated setting. online poker is a blessing

Petition EN2592 - Amend Interactive Gambling Act (2001) to Allow Online Poker A friend linked me this petition for them to amend the bill that prevents it. Has been a lot of movement over the years to try and get poker legal online in Australia again!

To prohibit playing poker is a crime against a person's personality, this decision of the government is thoughtless and it should change its decision, but it will be difficult to convince him, I would say that it is impossible.
