Just a plea for posters to differentiate between cash games and tourneys both when asking questions and particularly when giving advice. I'm useless, I know, but even I can see there's a considerable difference in the way players play.

I've just read a thread where someone extolling the virtues of Harrington's first two volumes said he (she) disagreed with another writer's advice to limp with small pairs in early position (something which Harrington says is always worth considering). It was then that I realised the book he was referring to was written for cash games - but the review never made this clear.

Even pros writing in magazines don't think it's worth making it clear at the outset - a severe error in my opinion.

If he said something about Harrington on Cash games, then it was mentioned(not sure on the post you're referring to). I find that 95% of the posts asking for advice on here at least give a very strong hint at that it is for cash or tourney, and I have never had any problems with it not being blatantly obvious in Cardplayer or bluff(hint: look at the title of the article/column, usually gives it away)

There are different forums for Cash and Tournaments. Not sure how you're getting confused.
