Can anyone suggest the best game for making a fairly steady profit. I am not trying to get rich, just make maybe a hundred a week or so. I have had so-so luck playing $2-$4 limit but the bad streaks kill me. I know no one likes to say they lose but is there anyone who has been winning for a while who can give me some advice?

If the bad streaks are killing you you're playing too high of limits for your money.

I recently started making around $100+ a week play $.50/$1 NL Hold 'Em. Course where I play, everyone is an idiot. I play at royal vegas. I took the ten dollars they gave me and have brought it up to around $500 in a couple weeks.

How long have you been playing also? I played for about a year with no profits (internet that is), but have just the past couple months actually started making money. I've heard some people take even longer than that, I just catch on fast.

Hope it helps.

The upper limits at Party are dam hard to beat for making profit cause you have alot of bad players at every limit there. Now Prima isn't a bad choice either as Jon stated. When you get to the 2,4 limit there the players change drastically from the ones at the lower limits. They are MUCH more tight passive so in general the pots won't be as large as they would on Party. Now I see you play at Paradise my friend you are playing against arguably the best middle limit players online right there with pokerstars! That might have something to do with your profits!

Kinda off topic I guess, but if you want to make some money learn how to play Omaha. There's a lot of dead money online in O from what I understand. Maybe someone that has played it can confirm this. I hear its a good place to go, to make money. I don't know for sure because I'm a live game player, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

Well the amount of money is not killing me, just my profits. I work hard to build 100 into 400 and watch it all go away in a few bad sessions. I have been playing holdem for about 15 years and have studied alot. Been playing online for a little over a year and have not really lost any but not really won either. (I keep pretty good records) I just think a decent player, like myself, should be able to make a minute profit off this billion dollar industry. Because people are. Just looking for your opinion on the best game and or place to play to make a profit.

It is a good idea that Diablo mentioned.

An indication of how much dead money there is.......I accidentally joined a $10 omaha, 5 seated STT the a few days ago and won it. Its the 1st time I have ever played Omaha for real money, and only about the 5th time ever

If thats not dead money, I dont know what is
