I have to admit, I am a player who is strictly playing by feeling people out, and not playing the pot odds. I am pretty good at math so I would know if I am getting obvious odds, but those times when it is neck and neck (say 5 to 1 money, 4 to 1 to win), I usually just see who I am playing against and go from there. If I know for sure I hit my card and take it down, I always play if its a tough call.
Online players get to see what exactly is in the pot. When live, the chips are just in a pile. Online players can use charts and stuff they print out or on the PC about odds/implied odds.
My question is, if you are live, honestly how often do you add up your odds?
I am starting to do the 2/4 trick, but adding up the money in the pot can be a bitch. Asking the dealer each time to count the chips is something I don't really want to do.
