Hi,
This week I was playing like 8 0.25 man sng on ps and I won 3 of them and cashhed 3 more. I played 1 0.5 9man and was first? How can I know if I am playing well or just luck or a hot streak?

The best way to know is play more.

I'm thinking hot streak since a 9 sng sample isn't going to be a very reliable indicator.

Enjoy it while it lasts and keep up the good work! :D

Undoubtedly, you know how to play, but the distance played does not give you an opportunity to assess how much this result really depends on your skill, or it's just a few successful hands that decided the outcome of the game.

There are different approaches to assessing the distance, but still they all start with several hundred tournaments played. The more games you play, the less impact an element of chance will have. Random can be as the distribution of cards in the game, and the choice of players who are at your table. Maybe you're lucky, and your rivals were some newcomers, whose skill is even worse than yours.

It follows that the assessment of the level of your game will always be tied to a certain field - to the average level of players playing at this level, this format, at this limit.

In another poker room there may be stronger or weaker players, and your level relative to such a field will differ in better or worse.

Now you have to play, if you're just lucky - use it. In addition, the more you play, the more experience you have. It always increases your skill anyway.

Ok I will do that played 0.25 spin and go's (not a good idea) and lost big on that all my profit was gone I keep playing the sng because I had like 8 times just a 2X multiplier so I thougt maybe I hit the jackpot.

Whilst you might have a run of good results or a run of bad results, they are nothing more than an unrelated sequence of events. The outcome of your last hand or tourney as nothing whatsoever to do with the outcome of the next.

Its like sitting next to a motorway watching the traffic and seeing three Fords in a row, then assuming that makes it more likely the next car will be a Ford too.

The only things that influence your outcome is your ability, villains ability and variance.

There is no such thing as "streaks".

To answer your question, the bigger the sample size the more reliable the indicator.

A sample size of 10 means nothing, play 100 games and you will have an early indicator.

I think if you take from 5,000 to 8,000 thousand 1-3 place, so it will be considered as a good indicator, and 1 place out of 9 players it's just a laugh!

Good players think about the game, how they're playing, how others are playing. My guess, since I've got no many data here. You can be a "good" player without being a "winning". Respond for yourself. Do you are highly aggressive player who view the game as a deadly competition, or only a little bit of luck?

if you win, you need to divide the winnings in half, one half to leave in order to withdraw to your personal account and half to play then you can achieve success

Good

I'm on a winning streak ... yesterday I won this tournament, it's a little money but it's hard to win because of the number of manic players there are

Probably a hot streak. I just played a STT SnG to warm up for today's League game. One player was suspiciously quiet - didn't play single hand for the first 20 - 25 mins. Then he started playing most hands - jamming them all. He crushed the table and came in 1st solely because of luck. It didn't matter what he played (and he played a lot pre-flop trashy hands) he won most of them. It was totally unbelieveable, ..., but trues.
