Hi...I am so new...I want to become a better player with play money before I consider real money...I like Full Tilt, I used the 200 to start with, can you tell me how to get more play chips to continue to learn on this site..Is there a good play site for learning. I will definetly take advantage of your expert advice and teaching blogs, posts and sites...where do I learn the terminology. I feel blessed to have landed here with you...Thanks to all players who have/are creating safe and easy online poker playing fun...happy playing sunessenia

There should be a reload somewhere, I have no idea though where to find it.
If you know how to play, I would suggest freerolls.
Those play money players do not resemble real money online play at all.

Once you lose the 200 they will let you reload for more.

They must have changed things. When I started at first with play money you got 1000.00 in chips to start and you were able to reload after a couple hours wait. You could not just get 1000 and dump it all in one game.

You can reload after 5 mins. up to 1,000. Anyway, to the OP, I would suggest you not take play money to seriously because the people on there do not think logically, lol. You probably have to get up to 300/600 before you even have people who know something about the game. Try freerolls if you don't want to deposit.

A little known play money secret is that you can reload on fulltilt for 1000 and even have a couple million in play chips. Just register for sngs until you got 0 on the play chip availability and hit reload. You never have to start with 1k I usually start with 10k and then start building my play chip bankroll.

I dis agree, take play chips real serious and do not develop bad habbits just because it is play chips. Fulltilt has a playchip sng steps which is very good for learning. Once you get to step 4 the players are real good and dont just throw chips away. Also if you accumilate 500,000 chips there is a tourney that has a prize pool of 40 bucs real money to be won 1st pays like 5buucs and i think top 18 is itm 4 atleast 2 bucs. so good luck and never take any game on the lighty play chip or freeroll. Always play u best game.

"real good" compared to what?

OP, I'd personally listen to the other posters. Perhaps use the play money games to familiarize yourself with the poker software but once you figure it out, at very minimum play the 'freerolls'. Playchip games don't even remotely resemble the game of poker imo.

yup you may be right but if just learning and wanting to improve. The steps can be very rewarding and a confiendance builder imo. Try it start at step one and see if you can reach top level. It's more competitive than the 7500 or 10,000 player freerolls. IMO. Bigbigbucs

I suppose it's a matter of personal opinion. Honestly I wil never 'try it'.. someone would need to pay me a couple hundred dollars to even consider it. I don't mean to be knockin' ya here at all. I guess it really depends upon where one is starting out at because in all honesty it doesn't take very much time to be competitive at the lowest buyins online. (a bit of time reading a few articles, guides.. maybe a book like Phil Gordon's Little Green Book thrown in there... and you should feel quite confident & at the very least feel competitive at the micros).

The play money games are OK to get familiar with the game as far as the basics go. I played play money for a couple of months and actually built a pretty big roll, from 1000 to almost 100,000. Thought I knew what to do, but lost all my real money deposit a couple of times. The style of play is not at all comparable between real and play money games.

At least it was that way when I was playing play money, its been a while since I have.

The 100,000 buy-ins are somewhat simliar to the $1-$2 STT's. If you don't want to deposit, build up a bankroll of $1-2M chips and play in the $500k buy-in freeroll. Use that FR as well as the CC freeroll, the regional FR's and the $150 FR's. good luck.
