I just realized that I play much better when I just focus on 1 window rather than having 2 or 3 going. I was just playing sit & goes and it didnt go as well as i think it should have. Does anyone else feel they do better with just one or is it just me?

I can't play just one table. I actually find it pretty painful. If you are only comfortable playing 1 table just do that for now. When you think you can add another do it up and see how it goes. Soon you will get comfortable with that and be able to add another. Sit and goes are so mechanical playing a bunch shouldn't be that difficult to do.

I think one would be pretty hard to do because I tend to get board with one and start playing too many hands. I have gone as high as 12 on full tilt. Play on Bovada now, they cap you at 4.

If I am in a large tourney that I really want to try and make it to the final table,I will only play 1 table.I also like to play it @ full screen instead of min screen. If I am in a smaller tourney & I am in the mood," if I win I win ...If I don't I don't " Then I will play multiple screens. If I'm in a cash game , I will play multiple screens.

If I'm playing turbo or super turbo tournaments, I tend to stick to just one. But if i'm playing a regular tournament with longer blinds, I sometimes play a few at a time.

i know some people find just playing one table way to dull and i understand that, but looking at it the other way, its by far the best way to improve how you play poker, to actually watch every hand even when your not in it, picks up timing tells and stuff that a hud doesn't tell you, that you would never see playing multiple tables

my personal preference is between 2 and 4 tables, 2 tables i can pretty much pay full attention to both games, 4 tables and you lose a little bit of information, but you can still pay a decent amount of attention to it

It depends on the speed of the game, but generally I do much better focusing on a single match and all the opponents on that one table. Especially if it's Super Turbo or even Turbo. Now on a normal (10-20 min levels) I may play a small stakes cash game on the side but on a small 6 person table, because the most important thing in poker is playing your opponents not just your cards and if you have 5 or 6 games going on at once with 6-12 people on each that's a whole lot of people to track and you will miss crucial info that will cost you big! Plus I'm mostly on Bovada so I can't track notes on players after they leave a session which makes things that much more of a challenge. Now if you have good book on most people you are playing with, then more than one game at a time should be no problem. - Good Luck

One more thing....

I do NOT use any poker tracking/cheating software either, If I did I may play several games at once. Also I have little children running around the house playing, making noise and adding distractions so one table is the most of my attention allows normally. Kudos to all of you who can multi-table profitably!

I always play multiple tables to keep myself entertained 2,3 or 4 usually but I find I do play better if im only on one. the worst is when Im only on one and you run into one of those players who finds it entertaining to use up all the time allowed on each hand to piss everyone at the table off.:boring:

A HUD is needed for playing more then one table, it's not cheating software. It's a tool to help you get better and know how the other's are playing, it may even help when you've got little kids running around and can't see how someone played a hand.
