I am not sure if I am alone on this. But I feel I play much better Poker when I am exercising regularly. I play a lot more live than online. Anyone else find this happens for them as well?

I play better when I had a workout prior to playing poker Not sure why. I get all my frustrations out and feel more alert at the table.

I strongly agree with this notion, I think a big part of it is the mental gain from working out and feeling both good about yourself and refreshed.

Agreed exercise is important and for me it keeps my mind fresh as I play less and want to play more and feel sharper 😎 and the bad beats roll away easier with the endorphins buzzing.

Charging in the morning and a contrast shower, help the head then work well affects the actions in poker.

Doing sports or manual work is very useful to those who sit at the computer. There will be no stagnation of blood.

Exercise in a whole is good for you, not just regarding your poker game, but yes it does help. Few of the things it does is to help you control your weight and helps improve your mental health and mood. So with regards to poker it would helps strengthen your minds capacity and help you make better decisions.

There are a lot of professionals that advocate doing a physical workout prior to playing. More along the lines of something moderate to get your heart rate and body temp up, but not fatigue you later on. I usually go for a walk or a run before playing and I find that I'm also more alert when I play.

All in all, an active lifestyle pays big dividends away from the tables as well. [emoji846]

Of course, after physical exertion it is much more pleasant, so to say - having a rest at the poker table. After sports exercises the game brings much more pleasure.

I'm sure of that. But not in terms of poker skills.

I think fitness is good in everything. Life, Health, social relationship.

As for poker, I see that a rested body, which freed the mind by doing something other than poker, which helps the body and mind, is an advantage.

No doubt that helps!

Whether it's online or live poker.

I always exercised regularly, I had a surgery that I stayed 3 months stopped .... it hampered my sleep, patience and even concentration (all this very interconnected)

I do not know for sure ... when I go out for a walk, not play many freerolls and when I arrive, I arrive very tired and soon I sleep, not playing many other freerolls so that I am a freeroll player, it is difficult, the physical exercises are not benefiting me in the Practice, I am also very indignant for the games that I did not play that also damages my mind, self hypnosis, meditation and much prayer sometimes help me.
I already wrote a thread with this theme when I saw Daniel Negreanu, practicing physical exercises with a personal, I was very curious, I believed that poker was practiced by some expensive whiskey drinkers in a room full of cigarette smoke...
I must have watched many western movies

One of the causes of success in poker is a constant training that includes exercises with a barbell, running and yoga.

I do not for sports records, I do for myself and exercises with a barbell invigorates me for the day.

Most of us are aware of what happens to our body when we exercise: we get more muscle, we have more resistance ... We feel that daily activities such as climbing stairs become easier if we exercise on a regular basis.

When you start exercising your brain recognizes that moment as one of stress. As the blood pressure increases, the brain thinks that you are fighting an enemy or running away from it. To protect you and your brain from stress, you release a protein called BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor). This BDNF has a protective and repairing element that affects your neurons and also acts as a reset switch. That is why we often see things more clearly and feel more liberated right after exercising. Also for what we are happier.

At the same time, endorphins, another chemical in our body to fight against stress, are released into your brain.

Healthy in body healthy in mind as ancient Greeks said! Exercising benefits much more your everyday life than you can imagine! Have in mind that you have to withstand a sedentary hobby such as poker. No matter if you grind it a lot or not but do some training even a walk will be fine!!! :D

Please note that all the famous poker players are involved in sports!
I always try to do some exercises before the game, they betray me more calm and confidence, and + good music)))
