In the longer days of summer, I play less. I'm outside more often. I still pay attention to social media poker quizzes and read a news story occasionally.

Even contributing to Cardschat posts like I actively have done previously is hard to keep up when many of the threads have seemed like duplicate content to me. For me, I really don't see the point if I can't contribute interesting quality content.

If you review my profile, you'll find my original threads. My two most passionate subjects are encouraging a diversity in poker players to take on the game, and the legalization of the game. Both subjects, in my opinion are critical to the validation of the game to the general public.

I probably take the game too seriously and would benefit from lightening up a bit. Wasn't John Hesp awesome! Lessons to learn for sure.

With my participation in the CardsChat forum, I have been encouraged that most of the comments in CardsChat have been of suitable quality, and, I appreciate CardsChat's efforts in providing this forum.

Still, the summer came...

I wasn't not hyped to travel to play the crazy wsop in Las Vegas when it's 110F outside when I could be in the mountains fishing at 75F.

Now the days are slightly longer, still the dog days, but now It's time to gear up for more play, renewed study, and write some threads.

I like to think that the lifestyle break has provided some perspective for the coming fall/winter/spring, which for me will be year three.

I'm sure a few have seen me in the freerolls in ACR, and maybe even have a read or perspective on my play and personality. To be sure, I've kept tabs on those I see frequently at the tables.

Read my threads for more insight as to how I think. But trust me, I have forgotten far more than I can possibly remember or ever thought I knew in the first place.

A goal for this year is to have more fun like John Hesp.

See you all more often coming soon.

I have done this. Sometimes I take a week or two off and read or play video games. It''s good if the person playing is stuck and needs to reorganize their thoughts.
