I was catching up on some past PAD I had on the DVR. I was watching the May 15 episode, the second week of the "Phil Bash" cash game. In that episode, at about the 17 minute mark, Phil Laak is under the gun and they clearly show his cards and listed his hand as K-J spades. He folded (which I thought was surprising). But then the flop came and it included a K spades! Did anyone else notice this? I reran it 3 times to be sure I wasn't seeing things. Any comments anyone? Interested to hear any explanations. Thanks,

I just looked back at it too - it's the hand about 15 minutes in, right?

I'd be 99.99% certain that it's an error in the show's editing and not a duplicate card in the deck - the footage of Laak looking at KsJs will be from a different hand and they've just cut it in there by mistake.

Duplicate cards do happen, but casino dealers are trained to check every new deck before they put it into play. A mistake by the show's editors is a much more likely explanation.

Plus, whatever else people may think of Phil Laak, he has pretty good recall. He would've said something if one of the cards he just folded ended up on the flop.
