Funny things that happen only in movies,
Ever imagined being at a table with someone who knows how to shuffle this way?
Imagine this table, they were all very well, so the pot was in the clouds
Has anyone participated or seen anything like this?
Let me know if have someone these have that abilities with , not only know how to shuffle but to distribu to each of the opponents!:):):):)

I guess that's why they hire dealers at poker rooms.

I played a backroom illegal poker game that my work colleague invited me to. I lost a hand ace high flush to four of a kind tens, he flopped the tens I rivered the flush so it wasn't a luck thing he severely underplayed it as if he knew i'd hit big at the river and trapped me.

The guy who dealt those cards next hand got 2 tens, the next hand the guy who had the 2 tens was the dealer and it was the same suited tens as he got. I lost allin vs the tens and didn't use my rebuy as it was a rebuy tournament. I realized what was happening and didn't want to start a commotion because my parents owned a nearby restaurant and many of these people were regulars there.

They tried to talk me into rebuying, I said 'I'm tilted from the flush loss' and walked out knowing that lying was the best option there. My friend probably suckered out to these guys.

Definitely something that only happens in the movies. Even if someone could set the deck like this, they would never be so flashy about their skills at manipulating the deck. Their goal would be the make it look like the most boring, normal, shuffle you've ever seen.

I have played in a game where someone cold-decked me. That is, they set the deck up before I was in the room. And then swapped it for the shuffled deck. The problem was the same problem as this hand. It was just far too obvious. Four of a kind, losing to a straight flush, which loses to a higher straight flush? Uhm no, something is wrong there. It was obvious enough that we stopped everything right at showdown and backed all the action up. That player wasn't allowed to handle the deck after that, aside from taking cards off to top and passing them out.

I watched this movie for the 1st time about 4 months ago, i saw the poker scene on youtube and then searched the film to watch, i like the other movies he made with his buddy pal guy. I like to see how things were before my time and old films like this 1 give me an idea of the time they lived in. Good stuff! and great movie.

The fight at the end was even more suspect than the shuffle. Not to mention the obviously fake tan. lol.

Something very similar happened to me when one friend invited me to play poker in a clandestine club which had good references, I realized that several players were involved and somehow they always won.
