Lets take a moment to discuss how online poker has changed the face of poker forever. How is the nature of poker changing? Are more players aggressive and what image do they bring to an online table compared the a live table? What does this mean for future tournaments such as the scoop, wcoop and even the wsop series? Interesting.

live tournament: slow paced, no multitabling
online: software support, multi tabling, large sample of hands.

therefore.

On line, people tend to make more creative play and improve poker skill, quicker than play live.

but.

since online it is not often to see 500bb cash deep stack play. and lot of , how to say, body tells.

so live player, more good at play 300+BB deep stack....and easily adjust by extra information - tells, age, faces....etc.

___

but at least, poker will be more and more aggressive, because,
be more aggressive , u may win by:
showdown best hand, and let better hand to fold.

____

online play tend to bring, crazy face....play marginal hands more aggressive, and....in meta game, play crazy...LOL

LOL

I play both I think I have gained subtle advantages over other live players who don't play online. I play lower stakes at the casino in Milwaukee and those players don't understand effective raising and folding. They tend to call rather than raise and hope their hands hold up. I was called out for both folding and raising. Basically, it's a friendly game, why are you raising preflop so much. So, I responded with "its a friendly raise".

I think that the live poker is better and there you can more find out about your real poker knowledge. The online poker is more difficult for me and there you can loose more money than in the live poker for my opinion.

It's way easier to find really weak live games.

I think the arena of online poker has made the average poker player much better in general. Even most fish have some idea of relative hand strengths. What i think will happen is that in the next 5 years we'll see a rise in botting to the point where online poker isn't really a viable way to make a living playing poker so it'll end up moving back to the live arena.

IMHO I played solely online until black friday , then started to play live obviously. and now with the exception of the occasional bovada tournament I SOLEY PLAY LIVE MTTS.
I personally lost alot of moneyudue to black friday but have gained so much from playing live now and wouldnt change it for anything.

I like more live poker than on-line poker because in live i can see people reactions over flop or in a bet.

I agree with that, and in the live poker you watch how the others players react and it's easy to know how they are playing. I mean you have more chance to win.

For me, live poker is better to read opponents and online poker has its advantages: it is easier to hide a bluff, there are tournaments with lower stakes and for a few dollars you can participate in the tournament for a huge cash prize.

Negreanu in his documentary said something very interesting. He admited that online poker top players are coming slowly and taking the place of well known names. This fact forced Negreanu to sit and to adapt to the new wave of grinders. We may see some young guys like Ole Shemion, Panka, Fedor, Gruissem, guys from Russia, Bulgaria and Belarus, who are very successful in the online game to put the other top names behind in the tournaments. All those guys are showing great improvement in their live table participation and it's almost impossible to get 100% read from them.
