Hi. Yes it is. I know of at least two people who relocated (or are in the process of relocating) from Australia to New Zealand so they can continue to play. Also I think a couple of Twitch poker streamers just moved to a house in New Zealand to play/stream/live together.

It is illegal for any business other than the TAB and the New Zealand Lotteries Commission to operate remote interactive gambling in New Zealand. However, that pertains only to providers.
It is not illegal for a New Zealander to gamble over the Internet with providers based in other countries, but if any part of the gaming is based in New Zealand (end user excluded), it could be prohibited by the Gambling Act and be considered illegal gaming.

NZ is in the process of looking at taxing online purchases , so gambling will be looked at as well . Lets hope they dont follow the idiocracy australian way. Tax it by all means , but banning it makes no sense . Sry my Aussie bros , but your country is run by idiots .
