So Washington State made online poker a felony in support of it's 28 land-based casinos, ewallet frozen, ftp not issuing checks, and now the latest volley:

On Monday, the New Jersey State Senate a bill introduced that would established the first intrastate internet gambling framework in the U.S.

The games would not be available to all U.S. residents. Lawmakers said the technology exists to prevent out-of-state players from gaining access to New Jersey’s system.

The bill mandates that all computer systems must be located in Atlantic City.

This is just another way for cash strapped states to make more money off of the people of their own states with out having to raise taxes. A move that would get them voted out office. It will not be long before other states try it out and we end up were we should been 5 years ago. With a national online gaming web sites being regulated and taxed by the government.

It just came across my news reader this morning that California is considering following in New Jersey's footsteps. Definitely a good sign!
