The one with the highest prize fund. lol

I like live play for the interaction and to get in for free thats just a bonus.

people also play with a bit of savvey as they had to put something into like getting there instead of just picking up the computer etc

I have played in a $50,000 freeroll at Caesers Palace (now Horseshoe) in Indiana. It was a wsop Circuit Pre-Event Freeroll. Top 3 paid out, something like 1st - $30,000 2nd - $15,000, Third - $5,000. There were 800 people I think that showed up. It was all WSOP rules and blinds. It was really fun, and a great first "casino tournament". I got knocked out in 35th place. Two friends and I went down because our buddy just turned 21, so we wanted to take him to the casino for his first time. We found out they were having this tournament the same day we decided to go, so it was a great "bonus" to get into a free tournament. They play was really good in my opinion, no real donkeys or complete jackasses. The guy that knocked me out was probably in his 80's and they just moved him to the table. It was his turn and he was still trying to get situated (he had been for about 10 minutes now) and the dealer told him he needed to act or they would auto fold him. He said screw it and went all in on my raise, I had AJ if I can remember, and he had 8/5 of clubs, he hit two pair on the flop and I was heartbroken.

Ive never played in a live freeroll but my guess is that would be more fun. Firstly the prizes are usually bigger, but also the face to face human interaction of live play has always stimulated me more than online play.

I didn't even know live freerolls existed. I'd rather not see donkeys play live. That would drive me crazy.

Live freerolls typically mean super-turbo blinds and short starting stacks. You can find some decent ones but they're few and far between - I've dealt more of them than I've actually played in.

I like the casino environment when playing, but I prefer to play freerolls online. You see the same bad plays in both, but the game is faster online since you don't have to wait for the dealer. Also, after the first 1~1:30hr the online game is better.

Online freerolls are nice on private sites so there's not AS many donkeys but I'm sure live freerolls are much better because as someone mentioned they had to get there. Not many people will want to drive home ASAP because of going all in on 27 OS.

it was at caesars(now horseshoe) that was mentioned earlier, and it was freeroll prior to the wsop circuit there.... i have recently played in a much much much smaller live freeroll and it was fun and play was pretty decent after about an hour.
