Occasionally during a tournament I will find myself being abused and sworn at.

You have all seen it during a tourney it usually starts with "YOU CALLED MY RAISE WITH THAT?" followed by "YOU DONKEY":( or "IDIOT" with the usuall ^&%*$'s thrown in for good measure.

When this happens it makes me smile.:) WHY? Because I use the oldest poker software and sometimes, just sometimes I manage to pick up a lot of chips with it.;)
There is no posssible way that I could compare myself with a professional player:cool: because I am and may always be a student of the game (read fish) but the software I sometimes use has been used by professionals and donkeys alike since the game of poker was invented.

All players who take their game seriously will find themselves watching an endless amount of videos, reading lots of articles:deal: and books and of course blogs and web posts:pcguru: as well as staring across endless amounts of felt in order to learn the game as thoroughly as possible.

But have you ever studied the oldest poker software?

You and I know about pot odds, and we understand the power of position but if you have a favourite set of hole cards:smile: or always fold Jack Jack pre-flop then I am certain that you have been using this software without knowing what it is or what it is called.

The software I am referring to and sometimes use is called Somatic Markers and it is such an unusual piece of programming that scientific studies:questionm have been made of it.

Ok. So no matter how many poker video's you have watched, how many poker books and articles you have read, I have a gut feeling that you can continue your studies by following one of the links below.

Obviously disregard the last message now, but I cannot edit it any longer. This is a topic I am very interested in, and I will certainly read it in the morning. I was actually thinking about this on the way home from my weekly game this evening. There were multiple instances where I had a very very strong gut feeling that I should make a certain call, but instead, I let my head get in the way, and because of that I lost money. I'm very interested to see what all this has to say.

I will let you know that software that is not approved by the poker sites constitutes as cheating and if caught using software the sites don't approve of, you run the risk of having your accounts frozen, funds seized and any possible trojans that are associated with some poker software.

He's not talking about actual software you download for your computer. The links talk about brain functions and how emotions can guide or hinder decision making.

I just assumed they were bad links to cheap poker software.
Awhile back I was the subject of a phisher and since then have been very careful not to click any links, especially from new members.

Glad I made you LOL Clint.

Thanks for taking the time to actually look at the subject matter of the links and saving my bacon.

I had the same initial "gut feeling" shine, but noticed he wasn't a true newbie. If this had been his first post I would have never continued past the "software" mention.

Glad I followed thru and checked out the links, very interesting stuff deuce, thanks!:congrats:

It was interesting, I now know of one more piece of trivia, for that I am grateful.

How do I use this software or apply against someone though?

If have ever used your intuition (gut feeling, hunch) then you have used it already.
