I grew up playing poker,,my grandmother loved baseball where 3/9s are wild..my first real seat at the family table,,she gave me 20 for christmas and took it back christmas night,,had to mow 20acres to play again the next night,,anyway,,if im in the BB or SB and have the chips,,i dont mind seeing a flop with 3/9,,definitly not too often and never against a raise,,but by and large it seems to hit for me more than not...i know its a crap hand,,but sometimes i think she is watching me play and pretend that her spirit can influence the cards...like i said,,it does hit for me every now and again,,im wondering,,are there any others who have crap hands that they will see a flop with for similar silly reasons????

and a 4 means you get a free card....

Then I'm in .... without a doubt.

lol....yeah, good ole' baseball...and don't forget about the midnight version...talk about an insane game....

On topic: if I feel that my opponents that are in the hand are weak, and there is no raise before me I'll play 85s (no reason, just seems to hit a lot of flops), 94s (year I graduated H.S.), and once in a while I'll mega bluff with 7-2....shhh, don't tell anyone about that one, lol.

I like 2-4s 3-5s, I've had 4 royal flushes but never hit the steel wheel.

I like the middle cards, J 9, 9 10, seem to have a lot of options but I've got to a point were just about anything is foldable depending on the situation except AA pre flop. I did have a straight flush on 9 10 so I remember that but like I said it's very foldable. I do play a game with a buddy of mine when were at the same table that if you bluff and win with 7 2 (you have to show lol), I have done that twice but he wasn't at the table.

It like 10-7s or os and 9-6s, it's kind of odd, but I like it. I seem to hit alot of draws and two pairs with it.

Q8 suited, but especially spades. Flopped a boat w/it once. Flopped many others boats, actually, but somehow the Qs8s stands out in my mind - just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. lol And usually seem to hit at least a pair on the flop.

Love your SN, being a diver myself, bout 120 so far. But not to digress from the thread. I won an all in in a SNG this morning with Q8, but hearts. flop QQ9, villain went all in I called, he had QK, I think the turn brought a 5, but the river brought my 8 lol.

2-4 suited, dont know why, i will see the flop with this if its not to expensive. I have a love/hate relationship with 5-10, will almost always fold unless suited then same as with 2-4. I guess its because it just has worked, and I flopped TT5 once:)

funny reminds me of a local spot i use to play at where a guy ahd 2 ducks as his card protector. So whenever he was in a hand and a 2 hit the flop people would really fold to a bet lol.

Story behind it he won a few major tournaments at AC in his younger years so he got the name "duck" and always played 22 no matter what preflop...

But my fav hand i like is 89 or 78 diamonds

Noticed lately that Q8 are flopping like nuts. Maybe it's just Full Tilt, I dunno. Got 500+ dives, but only maybe 50 in the last 5 years (as opposed to avg 50 a year previous). I use the name everywhere except for the scuba forum, strangely enough, where I'm simply 'Beverly'. :p

Funny. Some here have learned that pocket 10s or hitting trips with them seem to find me uncannily frequently, and they rarely let me down. I think I might get a few folds to my raises when a 10 hits the board. Can hardly call 10s junk though. lol

Q8 suited is one of my favorite hands, I have flopped 2...count em...2 straight flushes with it, Qh8h and Qs8s came out 9-10-J hearts and spades within a 3 month span...got paid off on one of them as heart hit on the river and a player held the Ace.

Way back in the party poker in America days, I found Q5 to be to my liking. Hit Quad Q's, then QQQ55, then QQQ in 3 Q5 deals in a row. It took me forever to break my (then) newly found habit of playing Q5.

I sort of think I haven't hit a Q5 hand since........

I always catch myself playing 74d. Don't know why it's not like I won some major pot with it or anything or atleast 1 that sticks out. I even catch myself getting excited when it's dealt to me like I'm about to win a big pot...lol
