I finally have had it beaten through my head about practicing BRM. My goals for October are to stick totally to a bankroll management plan. The only exceptions to the rule will be CC $10 buy in event at Stars, (until my bankroll improves to include those limits).

I am starting with a BR of $75. Let's see what I can do with that.

My goal for october is to build my BR with another $1.000, like in September. Probably isn't going to succeed, but let's give it a shot :).

October goals for me are:
Play more than 700 - $30 SnG's on Stars.
Reach Platinum status.
Maintain an ROI of 10% or more.
Not go busto .

Its gonna be a tall order as I need to average around 25 games per day, and I have to find time to actually go to work as well :D.

All of the above goes in the bin if I go on a horrendous run that puts by BR at risk.

My goals for October: bit esoteric and difficult to measure this month, but let's see how they go...

- Less poker, more girlfriend time
- Try to condense all the stuff I've been learning lately down into some usable points, and incorporate those into my game
- Play the $175 buy-in event at the PokerNews Cup and walk away happy with my play
- Get my online bankroll started again
- Finish reading Caro and Greenstein, give Phil Gordon's Little Green Book a bash

1.) Practice walking away from ring games, when the blinds reach me and I have doubled up.

2.) Have fun playing poker. (I take it a bit too seriously) at least sometimes, at least on-line, sheeeeeeeeees, this is going to be an interesting goal to work on.

3.) Practice putting people on hands.

4.) Don't quit my day job

5.) Study poker, offline, for an hour a day.

6.) Perfect the 6 chip shuffle.

6.) Perfect the 6 chip shuffle.

90%, moving up to 8 chips. That's the amount that I really want to be able to shuffel, because it I wmt to be able to count my chips at the table, without looking like a dork:cool:

.

uhh, this ones a little hard to do when you don't double up.... Oh, well there is always practice.

Tonight blew. Didn't play that good. One nght of loss does not a loser make. the long haul is a lot longer than we think, anything else I can throw in there to make me feel better.
Off to bed.

October Goals:
  • Play smarter and more patient
  • Bet more instead of the nasty auto-check after the flop
  • Raise my good hands without fear in any position
  • Learn to let-go of marginal hands UTG
  • DO NOT call UTG, Raise or fold.
  • Be more observant to other players tendancies
  • Make more notes and ignore chat
  • Play at higher than micro stakes MTT's
Finally - Study more, Play less, Build a BR rather than Bust it!

I will be gone as of the 2nd week of October until the New Year!

~So as opposed to any Hiatus, this Hiatus is not going to be a Hiatus.
Rather a Disciplined Hiatus, with the illusion that it is a Hiatus~

When I get back to this Post I hope to have grown in my Poker Knowledge and amassed enough to afford a Further Hiatus, and Delve into a Serious Poker Journey of Epic Proportions to equate into a Chronical of Material that I may complete my Novel! And live a normalized Life free of Burden and Labor!~

You're good, I lost about 300 in September

So my plan for October is:

- Win 300$ back

backup plan:

- don't lose more money

My goals are to try to cash in some freerolls, build to about $100, and then play low stakes within my bankroll!

Good luck everyone! I know you can do it!

My goals for October:

Win a satellite ticket to a higher level game. (It helps to post some goals a week into the month.:D :D )

Never, ever, EVER go out sixth in a "five seats get ticket" satellite because I was just trying to add a little more pad to an adequate lead. (Actually hurts to post some goals a week into the month. :( :( )

Examine more HH to plug leaks in my game.

Re-read the books I already have and am not following.

Remember that in CC buy-games somebody is going to suck out on me every time and put me out first.

One week of October is gone. I Met this goal+:)

Other goals need work. Reading gobs on line about poker, but really want to concentrate on the learning the math and how to make correct calls based on the numbers. I need to hunker down and study texts (or the equivalant in published poker books). I tend to be a visual and tactile learner and math hasn't been my strong suit since elementray school.

If anyone can point me toward in depth visual presentations (on line or DVD)that would help me to nail down the math, it would be apprecieated.
