Does anyone know if ESPN360, or wsop.com is going to stream the final table of the Main Event this year? I don't want to fork out money for PPV or anything like that.

....have no clue..but i think this recent move the last couple of years to play the final table in november is b.s. and should be played in august at the conclusion of the main event. i mean who wants to wait and cool down your 8 day winning streak that got you there in the first place and also lets say you won your buyin to the event and get to the final table but have to wait to get some cash!

Or if you made it to the final table but had other things to do that day in november, like walking the dog or taking out the trash???

Umm... I would.. if I were in the Nov.9. It'd give you a great oppurtunity to study the play of the other players you were up against, especially the ones you hadn't played on the same table with at all during the tournament. I would absolutely for sure want the break if I was in the Final 9. You might not be at your best after playing a bunch of long days in succession.. w sleepless nights and all that excitement, etc. Just think of how well prepared you'd be with a few mos. rest.
I also think it's cool that we can watch the MainEvent airing on tv now, building up to the final table.
Last year I listened to it playing out live on bluff mag site. HeadsUp seemed to last forever. I was cheering for Ivan... sigh...

I think the November nine idea is pretty cool. I mean you used to find out about the winner in July and then finally watch it in November on ESPN anyway, so the fact that there is only 48 hours between live and air is pretty cool. Go Ivey.

Hmm. Well, I guess it's not on pay-per-view this year, though I would definitely not pay for it. All I hope for is that ESPN doesn't display on the ticker who won the day before or during the actual airing. ;)

I think it is great for poker in general. Gives the final nine time to study thier opponents , their styles and tendencies. Gives time to drum up the hype...etc I believe it will be taking place on November 10th....not sure if there are airing it after short delay, live or some other day. Go Phil Ivey!

I don't care when they play, although I think two months is a bit too long to wait, but I don't like the fact that they already have their seat order for the final nine. I think the seating should be decided the day it starts, not 2 months before.

Go IVEY!

Two months seems like a long time but the whole point is to build up the hype for the FT.

Poker mags need to do interviews and analysis, ESPN need to do their background pieces etc. A shorter interval wouldn't work.

I was instictively against the break when they originally came up with the concept for similar reasons to those mentioned in this thread but ESPN's coverage isn't really for the 'real' poker fans, it's for the general TV audience.

If building up the hype brings any new blood into the game that can only be a good thing.

One other thing - from a UK perspective - where's the coverage ESPN? They showed it a week or two behind the US last year. This year - nada.

All of the November Nine got paid 9th place money back in July, which is $1.2 Million.

Another thing to note...if you play the ESPN game Streak for the Cash, they spoiled who was heads up last year.

So you may want to avoid that on November 9-10 as well.

There's no way to view it live. Bluff magazine website will be streaming a live radio show, I believe.

I'm pretty sure u can actually watch it live on the internet...

I think i remember watching the one where Joe Hachem one (Legend :D) on a live stream through the internet however, i could be wrong.

Look for a stream because you may very well find one.

Go Phil!

No. They will be extending the coverage however.

Final table play resumes on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7 at 12 Noon Pacific Time in the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Play on Saturday will last as long as it takes to reach two remaining players.
On MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9 at 10 PM Pacific Time, the two finalists return to the Penn & Teller Theater for heads-up action until we have a winner.
On TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10 at 9 PM Eastern Time, ESPN airs a special 2-hour telecast featuring the action from Saturday and Monday’s final

They don't show it live because they edit out the hands with no action and the writers need to have time to come up with witty jokes for the announcers.

Yeah...that was FOUR years ago and when they used to have the final table right away and available on Pay Per View. It's all different now because of the November Nine concept.

ESPN has a ratings draw in Ivey, no way they are going to give up early video of it, unless they put it on espn360.com. And it hasn't been mentioned anywhere that they'll be doing that.

If it is on network, cable or pay-per-view television, you can watch it for free at: www.myp2p.eu

I use this site to watch NFL, MLB, NBA, NCAA, European Football, UFC ppv events, etc. without paying a dime!

Sounds like nobody is showing it live, so we will have to listen or wait till the recap on ESPN.

Oh, and this is a dumb move on ESPN's part btw. They should at least have a website with live computer generated set-up for following the action, which I doubt would cannibalize viewers from the live video recap shown a few days later.
