Grumble asks the winner of the freeroll today what his nickname is on here. Jord says "I don't remember" and then leaves the table. Lol, it's funny... but lets not give out the password guys!!!! Really now!!!

Thanks Nick.

I believe Jetset has a way to boot the non-member. You may want to contact them and see. You have a huge membership so freerolls there should be no problem to get.

Sharing of passwords is by far the biggest problem with private freerolls. Why can't all sites have a member list? Most pokersites have qualifier type tourneys that have an exclusive list without the need for a password, you are just automatically entered.

I believe most sites look at it as we are staking the prizepool and don't care who wins as long as they play and don't cash out the winnings!

There should be a function for Nick to give the pokeroom a list of player names.. and its private for those players and only them.. if they dont turn up fine but no-one can take there place and there are no passwords involved...

Though it would be hard for Nick to draw up an entire list on his own for example, and if the poker rooms accepted this, surely it would ensure no lamers joining who arent a member of the forum!

When i found out about cardschat.. ok I wanted to know a password without been a member, but thinking about it I wanted to be a member more because of the amount of freerolls! These guys are just idiots :(

Maybe the prize money should only be given out once confirmation through here? Not sure.

Mericless, that's an option on ultimatebet, absolute, but no other sites support it. It's such a hassle for me also to keep finding out the different usernames people use on each site, compiling a list that's constantly growing and then submitting them to the poker site.

wishs_to_win.. because they're idiots mate ;)

Simple fact is.. its free so everyone will do anything to find out password...

Have you asked if the poker sites have any security systems that we could use?

Peer pressure. A guy joins Cardschat, mentions to one of his non-Cardschat buddies that he has a freeroll later, and the buddy dogs him until he coughs up the password. He doesn't want to look like a schmuck to the guy he sits with in the pub. We're just a bunch of faceless nicknames. If he screws us, so what?

I don't play in the freerolls for this, among other reasons. I think having any price to play (even $1) would go a long way to fix this. Let's see how many players we get for the next Noble pay to play...

Personally Irish, i don't have any money to spend online atm.. I'm a student and must afford a lot of things.. freerolls are fun and experience and builds a community..

I think your idea suits YOU best but no a lot of people! :(

Keep freerolls going :)

I think that would solve a lot of problems too Dave, but unfortunately not everyone has money on the same sites. As of now our only buy-in tournaments are on Noble, so only people with money on Noble can play the real money tournaments. I wish the tournaments were spread out over a few sites so that people with money on other sites could play in them! :( I don't know any of the obstacles involved in that though, so maybe it's just a lost cause.

I'd encourage any of you who would like to play in real money tournaments to find a way to deposit to Noble, however. Nick has a great bonus set up for us and from what I've read it's not hard at all to earn the bonus money back. Check the thread in the Freeroll Announcements section on the weekly Noble freerolls and Deposit Bonus. It gives some great information.

Sorry to any I offended by suggesting that freerolls aren't worth the effort. Yes I was speaking from personal experience having raised 3 kids. If you gave them something they didn't care that much about it. If on the other hand you made them "pay" for something - it was cherished. I feel the same way about poker, I myself won't play that well (read this as loose) if I don't have a stake.

Hopefully, some of the freeroll winners will use the cash to join us in the pay to play tourneys...

Irishdave.. thank you for apologising.. I know your comments meant not to offend :)

As for the freerolls.. I do it for fun and experience, and yes if i win i will obviously reinvest in money tournaments or limit ring games... However, if/when i can afford a priv money game I will participate in it. Its hard when money is problem though!

However.. I also don't actually think that this will stop people! Yes it will cut down on them, but there are other types of people who are more likely to try and get into a more expensive payout one even if it costs entry.. not sure..

Making it cost even $1 would completely destroy the point of them being 'freerolls', =P

I must admit that I at first joined cardschat just to get the password into the first freeroll on Paradise. I had been to a couple of other forums where all you did was register and then get the pw right away. While I still frequent those sites from time to time to see what they have, it's this site that I always check out almost on a daily basis, whether I post or not. I like the chatter here, and the people; I feel like I've found a real gem in cardschat.com! This may sound corny, but it really does have a community type feel to it. The other forums I've been to have options where you can post, but neither are like here. I was in a freeroll at Paradise (the 3rd one, I think) and some jerk just shows up at the table and goes, "Ok, what's the password?" What a creep! I would never dream of doing such a thing! A tourney/table is private for a reason. Fortunately, no one at our table gave in, and he was told to shuffle off. Unfortunately, there will always be those people who think the rules don't apply to them.
