No Warning!!! - Firepay no longer allow Canadians

Does this look familiar to our American friends. I didn't figure this would take too long. And really does this mean what I think it means.

Effective February 21, 2007, FirePay (FirePay.com - Instant. Safe. Secure.) will no longer allow Canadian consumer payments to online gambling merchants.

Effective February 28, 2007, FirePay (FirePay.com - Instant. Safe. Secure.) will no longer allow Canadian consumers to receive payments from online gambling merchants.

All Canadian FirePay account holders will continue to be able to make purchases and receive payments from non-gambling online merchants, as well as to "Deposit From" and "Withdraw To" their Canadian bank account.

Weird. What is the situation in canada ? Surely your legislature isn`t full of muppets too ? I haven`t heard anything about Canadian officialdom having a problem with gambling.

Quite a lot of sites (bodog is the main one springs to mind) are licensed in Canada. Surely they are not under threat ?

That's just weird. I don't know of any discussion about even possibly making online betting illegal.

Maybe they just don't like us 'cause we're too close to the US.

Firepay pulled out most probably because a lot of canadian money crosses the border which puts itr at risk from pychoman and his ring of clowns

Just because Canada is the US's hat, doesn't mean they should have to suffer like we do...(guys, I'm just kidding, you know I love my Canadian brother's and sisters ). But seriously, what the hell? That makes no sense at to me. :dontknow:

I only use neteller so no problem here but it does seem weird. Is firepay an American company?

Def no signs of banning online gambling here in Canada. In fact the Alberta govt (where I live) is looking into setting up their own gambling/poker site!!!

I realize no high jack here PQ, any talk of ziipped files, attaching images, downloading anything I am so hungry for cause I am so illiterate and can't still do nothing. I use neteller not firepay so it doesnt really bother me. We have no signs of poker being banned.

1) Go to the address bar of the browser when the page you wnat to link is displayed and select all of it (the above link should be in your address bar RIGHT NOW...cause it's this page )

2) Copy it by either hitting Ctrl and C at the same time or select Copy from the Edit menu

3) Type Ctrl and V at the same time or select paste from the edit menu once you are in the Message: box or quick reply box.... poof! the link appears like magic!

Sometimes I just give up and go back to doing non productive posts cause Its not worth the same headache you got now. I guess we need a lesson in CC101, too keep up with these guys.
