Nicknames

Anybody come across nicknames that some poker players have that make no sense. I played with a couple of players that had strange nicknames. One was called "The Grasscutter" and the othe rplayer was called "Fishface." Also, how do you get a nickname? Do you create one yourself or another player(s) has to establish one for you? :stupido3:

Hi - I want a nickname - not one on a forum but in real play. LOL Like The Pokerbrat or Texas Dolly or The Master. Guess I need to play more to get one tho.

The Riverer? The Monster?! That sounds scary (the former). Or the ultimate scary nickname, The 2 Outer. Bwahahahaha.

When I get to wsop or WPT - I'll need a nickname that fits my play I guess - like The Snake. Strikes when no one is looking. LOL

I always thought Devilfish for a name was kind of odd. But, It does seem to fit the guy.

I am thinking of making mine Mr 2nd place. He never wins a tourney but is always making Money.

In horses, that's called "Also Ran" ... how about that?

In the movie "A Christmas Story" the Bumpus' dogs were crazy for turkey. They were real Turkakanus'. One day my wife and I were:smokin: :canabis: and gave my dog some peanut butter and she says "Look he's a real peanut butter freakakanus" Well as you can imagine we were quite :stoned: so that was the funniest thing we had ever heard and the name stuck. I stole it cause all my other names were taken by someone else and I refuse to have a number behind my name like Moneymaker 31256 or John Doe 81253.

I probably should have stated that this was at a live poker tournament, not online. I got one of the nicknames wrong. It was actually "Fishflat."
