I have done this a few times and its great fun. I even won a $1 SNG doing this. You have to see every flop. If someone goes all in prefop you have to call, if this puts you all in with 7-2os, oh well. After the flop you can fold, call, do whatever.

Try it, it is a lot of fun and the comments you get are great.

If you add calling everything, chasing everything, and never ever raise anything, then its standard play for most freeroll players.

You can raise preflop but it runs the risk of everyone folding, thus not seeing a flop.

So if you take down a pot preflop, do you fail?

Thats a good way for the table to cuss ya and call ya a donk which i guess you were hoping for!! LMAO That does sound like fun. I dont know how far or how long u would last though because usually there is 3 or 4 people the 1st hand of the freerolls to go all in!!!

I'd have to agree with some people on this thread. Freerolls are a thing of beauty - you put together in a tournament people that have never played a dime of their own money and somewhat professional poker players that are willing to play for money without spending anything but time.

While in freerolls, I try to remind myself of this... And play aggressively at times, conservatively every now and then. I don't call everything, and I'd say your experience with playing like this on a freeroll is not representative of the majority of situations one of us could face in such tournaments.

Don't consider this very wise strategy mate...if it is "poker", it is a bad poker strategy. GL though, Wally

yeah but this is not winning poker this is the exact definition of a donk and advise not to play that way or you will lose everything. I know first hand because when i first started playing i had no clue and i was a calling machine

I do a variant of this on occasion.

My rules are a little different. I have to VPIP every unchallenged hand.

more flops seen = greater opportunity of hitting a hand = $$$$$$ = WIN???

Somehow I dont think its that simple however ;)

This sounds like a pretty good way to blow off some steam after a bad beat but I try to always do well no matter what the game or buy-in.

When I joined this board I didn't expect to read threads from the donks I've probably played a few thousand times on-line, there have been some threads from players who made bad plays and they're bragging about it like they did the right thing. Now I know.

I guess it takes all sorts and this is not really uncommon in most freerolls. I have my doubts however how many wins you will achieve. You say you won a $1 SnG. How many have you lost?

This is exactly the strategy that prevails at freerolls. Very indicative of beginners or maniacs. I don't want to rip the strategy too much because I do have to say, I like playing at a table when there's one of these people shoving all the time. Solid poker can lead to an easy double-up.

This is quite the opposite of what I all too often find myself doing . . . folding everything and never seeing a flop!

.......You have to see every flop. If someone goes all in prefop you have to call, if this puts you all in with 7-2os, oh well. .....

this isn't poker,........therefore being in Poker Forum > General Poker, it is miscategorized :D
