Yeah its not very common but you'll start to see it a little bit as you play more. Ive seen it a few times but its usually like QQ V QQ or KK v KK.

Pretty crazy hand though for sure.

Yeah, it's a bit of a gut wrencher when your opponent rivers a flush also!

maybe I'm wrong here but wouldn't it be impossible for you to lose to a K high straight if you had Aces??

You'd lose if community cards were say 2 9 10 J Q, and Villain had a K

No ... the 2 villains had all the Kings locked up in THEIR hands. Your Aces would have become the proverbial Chinese straight ... 9,10,J,Q,A

They split the pot with their King high straights.

LOL

I have a short story for ya Beerman...

In a live game @ a friends house about 3 years ago (10 players on the tbl) there was a hand that I had never seen before.

It was pretty late in the game, blinds were 80/160 & I was dealt pkt jacks in the cutoff position. There was a raise in MP & a re-raise directly to the right of me. I flat, the button folds & the SB shoves & the BB folds. At this point, I was thinking oh $%&@, now what do I do?

The OR calls & the guy to my right calls. I had to fold my jacks. They turn over pkt queens (OR), pkt kings & pkt aces (SB).

I couldn't believe it. This was the 1st time I had ever seen the four biggest pkt pairs dealt in the same hand.

If you're curious, the pkt queens ended up sucking out & winning the pot. It was nuts, we were pretty wasted @ that point & couldn't stop laughing.

I've seen it happen a few times, and one of the times a flush won instead of a split pot.

I had AA vs. 66 vs. 66 one time. One of them goes all in preflop, the other one calls, so it's instacall for me.

Never had a situation like that before.

Guess what, I lost.

LOL, aces going against aces is not much special as it happens every now and then. I think the most special thing I've seen is kings hitting a straight flush against aces in a cash game... :D

If you are heads up with another guys AA, all is well. Split pot and keep on playing. However, like someone earlier said, when a third person is involved it is usually trouble. They are inevitably gonna hit their set, river a flush, or find a lucky straight its a bitch. You know you have no help coming and are just left to chant "No X, No X!"

Wouldn't two pair of Kings=Quads?
He would lose against two pair of kings.

I just re-read his second line I am confused.
Maybe he doesn't see the quads and thought he lost to king hight strait, but then I dont know if there is enough cards for that.
