CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!! neteller IS BACKING UP AND REVERSING TRANSACTIONS THAT WERE ALREADY MARKED AS "ACCEPTED". MY GOD THIS IS TERRIBLE, I THINK THEY'RE ACTUALLY DIPPING BACK INTO THE CHECKING ACCOUNT AND REMOVING MONEY THAT WAS ALREADY PUT THERE BY THEM FROM WAY BEFORE ALL OF THIS CHAOS!!!!

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that they'd told people to allow 2 weeks for EFTs and 8 weeks for cheques, simply because of the problems caused by recent events and the huge backlog of transfer requests they have to deal with.

Neteller will not 'steal your money'. They are a public company, traded on the LSE. Even considering that they have blocked gambling-related payments from the US, they will still wish to provide service to US people for other things as well as service to people throughout the world. Scamming lots of people out of lots of money is generally not a very wise way to go about this.

So in conclusion - OP, stop scaremongering, thanks.

JD posted this earlier in a different thread.
Um, last I checked, NeTeller is not doing ANY EFTs to US bank accounts for ANY reason.

If you're in the US and you want your money out, you must request a check to be cut. Current processing time for checks (as of last Friday) was approximately eight weeks (this is per a live person at NeTeller, btw).

Neteller is a publicly traded company on the AIM (similar to NASDAQ in the US), and is regulated by the FSA (Financial Services Authority). They are a legit company who wouldn't do something so foolish as to take your money and run.

You have to imagine there are thousands, if not millions of US residents affected by this...patience is going to be necessary here.

(Thanks Nick for helping get my markets/acronyms right. ;) )

I do have to agree. Neteller is unusually slow lately. Slow or Not, They always manage to get the funds where they need to go.
